The SnapGear PRO+ is a 2-port high-performance broadband VPN Firewall Appliance with both an integrated modem and additional serial port for narrowband fallback or for setting up for dial-in access.
Many companies are affected by unreliable ADSL or Cable services. Usually this occurs in regions where the service is new and still suffering teething problems, but even established telecommunications networks have their off days. The integrated modem in the SnapGear PRO+ offers a no fuss method of keeping Internet connectivity going through broadband outages. The modem service may be left always on, or set to dial-on-demand in the event of a broadband outage.
An integrated modem also allows for a convenient way of remote access and management of the SnapGear PRO+ even in the event of broadband outages by dialling in directly.
