Integrated Group Functionality
SuSE Linux Openexchange Server 4 provides the full range of
state-of-the-art groupware functionality. The browser-oriented
interface allows access to all functions from any location.
Apart from various directories (private, groups, public), notes, a web
mail interface, a scheduler, and a task and project management, SuSE
Linux Openexchange Server 4 offers additional features such as a
document management tool and a knowledge database. A forum and a
bookmark list are also included.
The administrator can freely configure all partial areas for groups and
users. Thus, all users can be granted access to relevant areas. Within
the predefined area, the user can personally determine the
availability of information for other users or groups. The
configuration options for the user permissions are extremely flexible
and offer comprehensive possibilities even for large enterprises.
Consequently the distinction between internal and external staff or
partners can easily be implemented.
In order to interlink information in a meaningful way, SuSE Linux
Openexchange Server 4 offers the possibility to connect almost all
contents in a flexible way. For example, certain forums, contacts,
elements of the knowledge database, or tasks can be associated with a
specific project, thus ensuring that relevant information can be
located directly at any time.
