Following the installation, take some time to browse through the SuSE Tour, where you will be shown the comprehensive software equipment of SuSE Linux. You will be fascinated by the variety of possibilities. Using the SuSE Help Center, you have access to various help sources, including the Administration Guide, which is not included in printed form in the Personal Edition. The Administration Guide provides deep insight into SuSE Linux. Programs such as Netscape Navigator, the Open Source Browser Mozilla, or KDE's integrated browser/file manager Konqueror support your activities in the Internet, and the MS Office-compatible office package OpenOffice.org, the Acrobat Reader, and the image processing application GIMP offer endless possibilities. Organizer tools and programs for managing private finances are also included. Multimedia enthusiasts will appreciate SuSE Linux 8.2 for its range of multimedia programs, such as the CD burning application K3B, the video player mplayer, a sound mixer, an editing studio, a synthesizer, and many more. The interaction with other systems by way of the network, locally, or on the road is a matter of course. Virtually all common file formats can be opened, and you have direct access to your Windows partitions in FAT format. The Personal Edition does not provide any server functionalities in the network; this is only possible with the Professional Edition.
