Even Linux novices can install SuSE Linux 8.2 on their PCs in no
time. The installation is launched from the first CD-ROM or the
DVD. A selection menu is displayed, allowing the installation
routine to be started.
When the installation is started, you can decide whether you want
to run a new installation or an update. Then select a language
for your system. The language setting is automatically adopted
for your keyboard layout.

The connected mouse
-
The suggested partitioning
-
The software selection
-
Information about the boot loader installation
Until now, these are merely suggestions, and your previous
partitioning is not modified. If you are satisfied with these
settings, you can start the installation by clicking Accept.

Then the network and the Internet connection can be configured.
Your advantage: Even before you log in for the first time,
you can install the latest security updates, thus providing
optimum protection for your system.

The next step is the setup of the first user for your SuSE Linux
System.

The final step is the configuration of the hardware. Sound cards
and TV cards can be configured automatically, and suggestions are
offered for the graphics card.
If a print server is autodetected in the network, the software
